The National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA), Gates City chapter participated in the 75th Annual NPhA Convention held at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The chapter delegates were Dr. Adrian Washington and Dr. Erin Searles. Dr. Erin Searles and Jea Delsarte were part of the national planning team for the convention. The convention offered several continuing education lectures, exciting programs, and spirited gatherings at the end of each day. Over 50,000 dollars in scholarships were distributed to deserving students from across the country. The convention ended with a private celebration at a beautiful mansion honoring incoming President, Dr. Frank North.
The chapter also participated in the national effort to collect toiletries, personal items and gift cards for the Boys and Girls Club in Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. We offer a special thanks to Dr. Charles Palmer, Dr. Sam Young and Dr. Xavier Bryant for hosting the collection sites at their respective pharmacies.
